The Family Practice Clinic, a department of Rio Grande Regional Hospital, provides quality, cost efficient medical services to patients of all ages who may not have a dedicated primary care or family practice physician. We deliver a range of expertise, including preventive care and overall health care management.
Our clinic is staffed with highly trained and experienced nurse practitioners who are supervised by a board-certified family practice physician.
McAllen primary care services
Our Family Practice Clinic is a service made possible through the Delivery System Reform Incentive Payments Program (DSRIP). This program is designed to fund projects to improve the Medicaid health care delivery system and increase health coverage for low income families.
At our clinic we offer a wide range of services, including:

- Diabetes management
- Heart management, including EKGs
- Digestive care
- Laceration repair and suture removal
- Respiratory management
- Wound care
